How to Apply
Our student application is simple and easy to complete. We recommend applying at least 2-4 weeks prior to your intended arrival date to give us plenty of time to match you with a host.
Before beginning the application please have the items listed below.

- School information
- Study dates
- Flight details
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
- Apply online and create your guest profile (accommodation preferences, background info, dietary requirements, etc.).
- AHN receives your application and issues an invoice for the Matching Fee + 4 weeks of homestay.
- Pay your invoice – we cannot match you with a host until we receive payment. This should be done at least 3 weeks prior to arrival.
- AHN starts the matching process / finds you a host.
- Confirm your arrival details with AHN.
- AHN books airport pickup if required and confirms the placement with your host.
- AHN sends a placement report to you and your host – you can contact your host to connect prior to your arrival if you wish.
WHEN YOUR PLACEMENT BEGINS
- Arrive at your homestay.
- After the first 2 weeks in homestay you may request to end your placement once the initial 4 week period is over. You need to provide written notice to AHN and your host.
- If you wish to continue your placement, AHN will send you ongoing monthly invoices, which you must pay in order to stay in the homestay.
- You can request to end your placement any time once the initial 4 week period is over as long as you provide 2 weeks written notice to AHN and your host.
NOTE: Guests under the age of 18 require approval from their Guardian before giving notice to end their placement.
