Our trained AHN hosts help international students settle in to life in Australia, support them in their study journey and help them gain the confidence they need to build important social networks in Australia.

AHN welcomes you to be part of our program
Homestay is a cultural exchange between a local individual or family (called a host) and a visiting international student.
In Australia, it is strongly advised that agents ensure their students only use accommodation services recommended by the relevant education institution.
AHN hosts provide a clean and furnished bedroom for their guests, access to bathroom and laundry facilities and prepare meals as required. We consider our hosts to be ambassadors, willing to share their homes and their daily lives with the students they accommodate.
International students can initially book an AHN hosted homestay placement for 2-4 weeks as part of their orientation to Australia. They can choose from a range of AHN options if they wish to extend their stay after the original homestay placement ends.

Fees
Reputable homestay in Australia is made up of a placement fee and a weekly fee.
Placement fee includes
- Host training
- System support during the application process
- In-home host visit and approval process
- Student–host preference matching
- Placement of the student
- Follow up support after placement (if required)
**Weekly fee includes:
- Meals (if selected by the student)
- Accommodation and utilities (power, gas etc.)
- Homestay host student support
- Additional host support for students under 18
- 24/7 professional phone support (including medical assistance and student support)
- Compulsory AHN contents insurance for students and hosts as per AHN Insurance Policy
- AHN system access for agents, institutions, students and hosts
- AHN project management
- Ongoing supervisor support

Agents are able to add new student applications with ease, while also monitoring the status of all their existing students.

Agent application process
Creating an agent account on AHN couldn’t be easier.
- Email agents@homestaynetwork.orgwith contact details for your agency office including your organisation name, full address, relevant email addresses and the regions of Australia you wish to send students to.
- Your agent login details will be emailed to you once your account has been created.
- When you receive your login details, you can log in by going to http://au.homestaynetwork.org/partner_login and begin adding new student applications.
