Last week the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory delivered a clear message of support for international students: “We care about you. And as a Government we are here to do what we can to help you.” The Chief Minister’s full message is available here.

Australia’s Northern Territory Government continues to welcome and support international students in the Territory through:

  • The Territory Worker and Wellbeing Fund helps international students who have lost their job or their income has been reduced because of COVID-19 and are not already receiving financial and/or wellbeing support, including Centrelink benefits.
  • If you are looking for work, register on the Territory Jobs Hub.
  • Information regarding crisis accommodation is available on the Shelter Me website.
  • It’s natural to feel stress, anxiety, grief and worry during a major event or pandemic. There are a range of services currently available across the Territory. Find out more about managing stress and anxiety.
  • #KindnessShake is a community-led initiative that aims to provide a weekly meal to those who are affected by COVID-19.
