A seaside city located south of Sydney, in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. Wollongong is renowned for its heavy influence from industry and its quality of life along the coastline. It is the gateway to the NSW south coast area. Wollongong has many natural attractions and great fishing spots. It is also home to an evolving arts scene.
Weather
Wollongong has an oceanic feel with a cool sea breeze. Wollongong has a moderate sea climate. Temperatures in summer and winter are alike, sitting around the 20°C. Rain fall is evenly spread throughout the year. During the warmer months chances of precipitation are a little higher. During these months there may be downpours and thunder storms are not uncommon.
