AHN’s World-Class Standards Introduced to the New Zealand Market
New Zealand Homestay (NZH) Launches at ISANA NZ 2023
Auckland, New Zealand – 23 March 2023: A new standard of student accommodation is now on offer in New Zealand with the launch of New Zealand Homestay at the ISANA NZ Conference 2023.
New Zealand Homestay (NZH) is implementing the best practices, technology and expertise developed by the Australian Homestay Network (AHN) to deliver properly-managed hosted accommodation and support to international students.
AHN’s successful model and standards – which have seen more than 67,500 students placed in welcoming homes across Australia – have been adapted to meet New Zealand’s Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice requirements.
Around 160 delegates registered for the 2023 ISANA NZ Conference – one of the first face-to-face events for New Zealand’s international education industry in a number of years. David Bycroft (Executive Director for AHN & NZH) and Julie Manche (CEO for AHN & NZH) had the privilege of connecting with government officials, education providers, programme managers, NGOs and other key stakeholders to introduce the brand to the market. Many positive relationships were formed to support the ongoing need for high-quality accommodation for students studying in New Zealand.
Mr Bycroft also presented a keynote speech highlighting new growth and sustainability strategies for international education stakeholders on Day 1 of the event.
NZH is launching in key locations on New Zealand’s North and South Islands to recruit, screen and train caring hosts who will offer a safe, welcoming and culturally enriching home for visiting students. A host engagement campaign has already seen more than 100 local families from across New Zealand register to join NZH.
