Life In Australia Is Wonderful Than I Expected
Hey everyone! I’m Sissi, an international student who has been staying in Western Australia for nearly one year. I would like to share my wonderful experience with AHN Homestay.
Life is unpredictable, we never know what the future holds, who we will meet, what we will experience. Back in 2 November of 2016, that was my first day in Western Australia, my first time visit to this country. Then my fabulous journey started.
I have lived with a wonderful homestay on this planet and spent a great time with this enthusiastic Aussie family. They took me around Perth, introduced the history and culture of Australia. They invited me to local parties and community activities, which gave me the opportunities to experience the pure Aussie lifestyle. It’s fantastic!
The most enjoyable time during the day was having a little wine and enjoying a nice chat with my beautiful hostess after a hard study day. I loved to share all my feelings and experience to her, not even the things that had happened in the university, but also the stories in my life. She always listened patiently and gave me her suggestions. She always encouraged me to give everything a try, which motivated me to achieve the outstanding results beyond my expectation.
She is a perfect cook. Have a look at the homestay gourmet photos below. The authentic taste of Australia with the superior quality was better than the 5-stars hotels’ restaurants. Mouth-watering, isn’t it ?
!
The host is an amazing and humorous person. He always brought the happiness to the family. Sometimes I watched footy with him, sometimes I made a funny joke of him, hahaha! By the way, he is an expert on cooking Barbeques, and made the best hamburger that I have ever tasted.
These two lovely girls are my pastry teachers. I love Western food and desserts, but I don’t know how to cook them. So when we all had time on the weekend, the girls would invite me for a cooking
class. Recently, I have learnt how to make a pancake for breakfast. It’s awesome, right! I stay with homestay and they offer me free cooking classes. What a great deal! Hahaha!
I have already finished two semesters in Australia, and completed each unit with the distinction result at least. This fabulous achievement was attributed to the support from my homestay. When I came across the questions that I could not understand in my study, they would kindly explain them to me. As an international student, English is my second language. Sometimes I was not confident with my grammar, so they would help review my writings.
Life is not just about study and work, but also entertainment! Let’s talk about my other fantastic experiences in Australia.
My life in Australia is colorful and I have never felt lonely, because I have made a lot of new friends here. We help each other, take care of each other, and we travel to different places with each other!
We went to Fremantle to watch the sunset. We went to Mandurah for crabbing. We went to Swan Valley and Margret River for wine tasting.
The most memorable trip was Margret River. We participated in the local event – Deja Moo Festival, and all dressed in the cute cow costumes. A journalist took a picture of us and posted as the headline news on the media. It’s unbelievable that we became popular in the Australian social media.
Someone said “Life is a puzzle, it’s always the small pieces make the big picture!” The puzzle of my Aussie’s life is made up of great people, hard study, new experiences and delicious cuisine!
I love Australia. I love my homestay, my friends and my university!
I believe the more you experience, the more you fall in love with your life!
